FAQs

How much do nutrition consultations cost?

The cost of your service will vary depending on your needs. A 15-minute no-cost consultation can be scheduled to discuss your needs and how much your sessions will cost.

Will insurance cover nutrition counseling/coaching?

I do not participate with medical insurance providers. Most insurances only cover nutrition services for renal failure and diabetes. Your insurance may cover MRT, however, this must be verified in advance of having the blood drawn.

Do I have to keep a record of everything I eat?

You will need to keep a food log for the first two weeks so we can determine how you’re doing with your personal plan. Once you are confident with making the food choices that are best for you we can determine if you can stop logging everything you eat.

How long is a consultation?

An initial session is 45 – 60 minutes, and a follow-up session is 30 – 45 minutes. It is possible to schedule a longer session if you have a lot of questions and feel you need more time. Additional time is charged in 15 minute increments.

What is a virtual nutrition meeting?

A virtual nutrition meeting is an online appointment for you to meet with Deb to discuss your nutrition needs and goals. If you are using the video option you will be able to see Deb and she will be able to see you. This is an easy and fun way to connect as you learn more about foods to choose and receive expert guidance on foods to choose to reach your goals.
